"Cowboy Ted" Hallisey has been involved in rodeo for over
20 years as a fan
and as a credentialed broadcast and print journalist. He has hosted
rodeo
shows on radio in Salt Lake City, Utah and Fresno, California. He
writes
rodeo stories for a host of rodeo publications and has earned press
credentials for the NFR, PBR, and Olympic rodeos. Cowboy Ted has a
kids club
and has been talking about tobacco education issues over the past
four years
with children in Utah, Wyoming and California. He recently earned
his
masters degree in health, physical education and recreation.
Cowboy Ted supported Buck Tobacco's work at the Poway Rodeo by making
an
appearance at the Buck Tobacco booth at the rodeo, visiting schools
to talk
with kids about tobacco issues, writing a letter of support, and recording
a
radio ad. He has worked with the Buck Tobacco statewide office by
participating in meetings and conference calls to provide advice regarding
ways to work within rodeos to get Buck Tobacco's message out.
